Blue Mounds Amidst the Gold

Painted at sunset over multiple sessions, I felt I was distilling the effects of all I experienced while creating this piece: the cackle of chickens free ranging at the cornfield's edge, scent of ripening corn and mown alfalfa wafted by the wind, expansive and ever changing color in sky and shadow. Several times I sang for joy as I painted with a grateful heart for all I beheld.
