Balsam Breezes

Etched in my memory as one of the most refreshing plein air painting days I’ve ever known, Balsam Breezes captures the warm, steady updraft of Adirondack air with the heady scent of balsam fir. I had to set up my umbrella not for shade but for shelter from the shower of pine needles falling into my paint! How I smiled when unpacking at journey’s end to shake out those needles from all my gear. It seems some places just don’t want to let go of a person!
